Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of GearIQ at https://geariq.pro, operated by Volatile Peak LLC. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

What GearIQ is

GearIQ is an information service. It collects publicly listed items from eBay, compares them to recent sold prices, and shows you the results. We do not sell, ship, inspect or guarantee any item. Every listing belongs to an independent eBay seller, and any purchase you make is a transaction between you and that seller under eBay's user agreement and buyer protection.

Estimates, not guarantees

Prices, bids, availability and listing details change constantly and may be out of date by the time you view them. The "sold average" and any deal percentage are estimates derived from recent completed sales for a similar search. They are not appraisals, and they are not a promise that you can buy or resell an item at any price. Always confirm the details on eBay before you buy.

GearIQ does not inspect, test or authenticate any item. Listings are created by independent eBay sellers, and some are counterfeit. Where a listing fits patterns common to counterfeit goods we may show a counterfeit-risk warning; the absence of a warning is not a statement that an item is genuine, and the presence of one is not a statement that it is fake. Authenticity, condition and any dispute about an item are between you, the seller and eBay under eBay's own policies, including its Money Back Guarantee.

Affiliate disclosure

GearIQ participates in the eBay Partner Network. When you click a listing and make a purchase, we may earn a commission. This does not change the price you pay and does not influence which listings are shown; ranking is based on price data alone.

Accounts and Pro subscriptions

  • Free features require only an email address. You are responsible for the accuracy of the email you provide.
  • Pro is a paid subscription billed through Stripe. It renews automatically at the interval shown at checkout until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future charges; access continues until the end of the period already paid for. Except where required by law, payments are not refunded.
  • We may change Pro pricing or features with notice. Changes apply at your next renewal.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site or its data, or access it by automated means other than a standard web browser or search engine.
  • Resell, republish or redistribute the data shown on the site.
  • Interfere with the site's operation, probe its security, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms.

Connector and API use

GearIQ provides a read-only connector for AI agents and other software. You may use it to retrieve deals and price data for personal, non-commercial evaluation of listings. You may not use it to build a competing dataset, to bulk-download or redistribute listing or price data, or to exceed reasonable request volumes. We may rate-limit, suspend or discontinue connector access at any time. Data returned by the connector is subject to the same "estimates, not guarantees" terms as the site, and any purchase you make remains a transaction between you and the eBay seller.

Intellectual property

The GearIQ name, design and software are owned by Volatile Peak LLC. Listing titles, images and prices belong to their respective sellers and to eBay and are shown under eBay's developer and partner program terms.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Volatile Peak LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site or any purchase you make on eBay. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you paid nothing.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Volatile Peak LLC against claims arising from your misuse of the site or violation of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Volatile Peak LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of that state.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
